chic and the city

Chic Ana was born in Boston, MA. Her original moniker was Miss Concepción and she went on to be crowned Miss Emerson at her undergraduate school, Emerson College. After graduation, she and longtime collaborator Sassy Parker developed a show about two best friends, one Chicana, one white, one demure and one a bit more free-spirited... and with that, Chic and Sassy (the show) was born. Miss Concepción became Chic Ana and Miss Sassy became simply Sassy as they developed a Laverne and Shirley-esque buddy comedy. Two full-length stage plays followed, Chic and Sassy and Chic and Sassy: The Higher the Hair, The Closer to God.
